Tatton Park Passion for Power Motor Show – August 2019

Despite the appalling wet weather on the Friday, Dave, Shirley, Catherine and I made our way to Tatton Park to set up the stand with the event
shelter, gazebo and bunting in muddy boots, in preparation for the
massive Passion for Power Show weekend.

The very popular Dream Car Pavilion, exhibiting the finest high performance super cars from some of the world’s most exclusive car manufacturers, was once again a main feature of the show.

Sharing the field with 1,800 historic vehicles and 90 Classic Car Clubs, Saturday promised to be a better day. It did start off wet, but soon turned into a bright day and the well-draining ground soon became firmer to drive on. Our members began to arrive, despite the forecast for rain, and as always we arranged our cars to show them in an excellent display for the public to come along and enjoy the cars.

We had 10 cars on display on both days, with a mixture of each marque and a few changes to the cars and layout for Sunday. Thousands of visitors came to the show over the two days and we had a great deal of interest shown in our cars on the stand on both days.

In reward for my hard work on my newest azure blue rev.4 Mk2, and for its first time on display at Tatton Park, I was awarded the individual award for the Best Japanese Classic on Saturday, which was quite a surprise given the quality and number of other Japanese cars on display.

Many thanks go to everyone involved in making this an enjoyable and successful weekend.
